Election TrackerAn app with no account has very little to know about you.
The short version
- There is no account, no profile and no record of what you read. Election Tracker has no server of its own that stores anything about you.
- Polls, approval and market data are fetched from public sources and cached on your device only.
- The app shows ads through Google AdMob unless you buy the one-time Remove Ads unlock. On iOS it asks permission before using your advertising identifier; in the EEA, UK and Switzerland it asks for consent first.
- The Remove Ads purchase is processed by the App Store or Google Play and validated by RevenueCat under an anonymous id. We never see your name, card or store account.
- Election reminders are scheduled on your device. Nothing is sent anywhere.
1. Who we are
Election Tracker is made by Chinese Powered ("we"). You can reach us at [email protected]. This policy explains what data the app handles, which third parties are involved, and the choices you have.
2. What the app stores on your device
Everything the app remembers lives in the app's own storage on your phone and is deleted when you uninstall it:
- Cached data — the most recent polls, approval figures and market prices, so the app opens with numbers when you are offline.
- Preferences — your theme choice, whether election reminders are on, the races you have pinned, and a count of how many times the app has been opened (used only to decide when to ask for a store rating).
- Purchase state — whether the Remove Ads unlock is active, so ads stay off without waiting for the network.
None of this is transmitted to us. There is no analytics SDK of our own in the app.
3. Data sources the app reads from
To show you numbers, the app requests public data directly from third-party services. Those services see the same thing any website visitor's browser sends — your IP address and a generic device description — and nothing more from us:

Links to pollster releases and Polymarket pages open in an in-app browser; from that point the site you are visiting applies its own policy.
4. Advertising
Election Tracker is free and supported by advertising served through Google AdMob: a banner at the bottom of each screen and, occasionally, a full-screen ad when you return to the app. Google may collect and use data to serve and measure those ads — including your device's advertising identifier, approximate location derived from your IP address, and information about how the ad performed. Your controls
- iOS — App Tracking Transparency. The app asks before it uses your advertising identifier. If you decline, or if tracking is off in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking, ads are requested without it (non-personalised).
- EEA, UK and Switzerland — consent. Where the law requires it, Google's consent form appears before any ad is requested. You can change your choice at any time from Settings › Ad privacy options in the app.
- Android. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Google settings.
- Remove Ads. The one-time purchase in Settings removes every ad; the app then makes no advertising requests at all.
Ad content is limited to Google's "general audiences" rating. No content in the app is gated behind watching an ad.
5. The Remove Ads purchase
Remove Ads is a single, non-consumable in-app purchase. Payment is taken by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own terms and privacy policies; we never receive your payment details or store account.
To check that a purchase is valid and to restore it on your other devices, the app uses RevenueCat as our service provider. RevenueCat receives the purchase receipt from the store, an anonymous identifier generated on your device, and basic device information (platform, app version, locale). It does not receive your name or e-mail, and we do not link the anonymous identifier to anything else. RevenueCat's policy: revenuecat.com/privacy.
Purchases can be restored from Settings or from the purchase sheet with Restore purchases. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
6. Notifications
Election reminders are optional and off by default. When you turn them on, the app schedules a handful of local notifications on your device (30 days, a week and a day before election day, and on the day). There is no push server; nothing about your choice leaves your phone.
7. Children
Election Tracker is a news and reference app about US politics and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Your rights
Because we hold no account or profile for you, there is nothing for us to export or correct. Uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored on your device. Requests about advertising data go to Google, and about purchase records to Apple, Google or RevenueCat, under the links above. If you are in the EEA, UK or California and believe we hold personal data about you, write to us and we will respond within 30 days.
9. Changes
When this policy changes we update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, mention it in the app's release notes. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
